Millwall FC Becomes Latest Football Club To Go Direct-To-Consumer With Sports Video Platform Recast

Partnership with sports video platform Recast will see Millwall FC earn through content and fan engagement

The Lions partnership announcement means they join the likes of Manchester City FC, Queens Park Rangers FC and Hibernian FC on the platform

Fans will get access to exclusive content, including match action, reaction and behind-the-scenes features

Millwall FC is the latest name giving fans a look at life behind the scenes at their football club by joining sports video platform Recast.

The English Football League (EFL) side joins a rapidly growing list of rights holders on the pioneering Over-The-Top (OTT) platform, with fans now able to directly contribute to The Lions by watching content.

The partnership will give affordable, flexible access to match action, reaction, squad interviews and features, which Recast’s microtransaction system will turn into club revenue through viewership.

Millwall FC follows the likes of Manchester City FC, Queens Park Rangers FC and Hibernian FC by making Recast the home of behind-the-scenes content, at a time when there is an increasing need to revolutionise the sports viewing model after years of fans turning to online feeds and illegal streams, or watching short clips and highlights rather than a full event.
